The Chicago airport (interesting toilets!) before we headed off to our respective countries.

Whale watching on the California coast. We finally saw some whales when we decided to face the ocean. The whales were migrating, but some seemed confused as a few were apparently going south instead of north.
Colleen and I were able to go to her parents home in New York for a visit. It was a great time. Hank the cat also made it into the picture.

This last week Colleen came to Canada for a short visit. We made it out to my aunt and uncle's place and visited with their lambs (and my aunt and uncle).

Omphalina sp.- has an amazing relationship with a lichen and together they form a basidio-lichen complex. This has nothing to do with Colleen.

First morel of the season with a neopolydactyla sp. (frog's pelt lichen) behind it picked from an obliging Sumas Mtn. Colleen and I didn't manage to get into the picture but we were pretty close by.
